Tasting notes

The wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatel; each variety is fermented separetely to create the still wines that will be then blended and will undergo a second fermentation to obtain the final extra dry sparkling wine base of Fresita.  Finally small, freshly-picked, intensely flavored Patagonian strawberries (from the foot of the Andes) are added to the natural sparkling wine.

The result is a fruity, fresh and delicious all natural sparkling wine with only 8% alcohol.

The color and appearance is deep, luscious, and salmon pink with strawberry pulp floating in the wine.  This full of intensity, strawberry sweet, refreshing wine is best served chilled and perfect by itself or alongside hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles, the Île-de-France región of France. In French, it is known as the Château de Versailles.

When the château was built, Versailles was a country village.

The court of Versailles was the center of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of French Revolution.

The perfect combination

Sparkling wine lovers have long been enjoying the taste of fresh strawberries with their sparkling wine.

Our oenologists have been on a mission to create a truly unique and natural blend that reflects the best in Chilean sparkling wine and our own delicious “Fresitas” from Patagonia. After years of studying and perfecting the art of blending the two, we found it. Today, the result is enjoyed around the world.

Fresita means “strawberry” in Spanish and few know that the first strawberries were white and were discovered in Chile’s Patagonia. Later in 1714, Amédée-François Frézier introduced them to the rest of the world and eventually the red strawberry evolved.

Today, Chilean strawberries (red and white alike) are celebrated for their size, delicious fragrance and sweet taste.
